Usually there are ways to make a D1 coach. 1, with someone who is a trainer, and you can be connected recruited as an assistant. After years as an assistant you hired as head coach. 2, is most common. Fight your way through the ranks. Stat coaching school. It is usually very successful. You may as D2 or D3, which would effectively be hired. Finally, a job would work a little school opened D1 series. Note, it usually takes times. It will take years and years to establish itself as a successful coach. The other way is to be played on a D1 school and was recruited after his career as an assistant.
